I recently returned from another Namib-expedition – yet again an amazing trip. We journeyed to the Eduard Bohlen wreck that was stranded off the infamous Skeleton Coast, near Conception Bay, on 5 September 1909. We were at the wreck on 5 September 2009 – exactly 100 years later. This massive carcass is an evocative image as it is slowly being smothered in a sea of sand. I echo what Barnie Louw, editor of Drive Out magazine, wrote: “It’s a matchless adventure among the world’s tallest dunes. The extent of what awaits you is hard to describe. It will change something about your humanity. Even if you only do one 4X4 adventure in your life, make sure this is the one.” We have finalised the 2010-dates for upcoming tours to the Namib Desert.
